Celica Supra
| | Model of the car: | Celica Supra | | | General comments: | I paid $700 four years ago. I think the kid I bought it from thought it had serious electrical problems, but I replaced the alternator, and it has performed flawlessly since. Mine has very little rust, although the paint is very oxidized along the top of the car. The 2.8 liter straight six is so smooth and very torquey. Has very decent power for a small car such as this (120 hp, 150 lb-ft torque for a car that is only six inches longer than the celica). I have done a lot of tinkering due to the fact that this car is simple enough for me to work on. Replaced rear shocks, front strut cartridges and it drives unbelieveably smooth. Has power windows and locks, both of which still operate. Automatic climate control still works. The only thing that does not still work is the low fuel light! This car has nearly 184,000 miles and still makes me smile every time I drive it. It has made mine a Toyota family. I don't know if I will ever own anything but Toyotas. Even though it's a sporty grand-tourer, it still has enough ground clearance to perform surprisingly well off-road. I think I'll cry if I ever sell it. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | They tend to rust alot, like most japanese cars of this era. | | | Previous car: | '92 Camry |
